2012-3Q (v002): Mikrotik - Simultanous Access
The "Simultaneous Access" on Mikrotik hotspots requires some additional settings as per:
http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=52213
If using Mikrotik router as your hotspot - keep in mind that it requires one additional touch to the setup - to allow multiple logins per username:
Under the default hotspot user profile the "shared-users" must be set to "Allowed number of simultaneously logged in users". It is set to 1 by default. Once you have this set to a relatively big number (like a 1000) - you have your Mikrotik set properly - from that point the RADIUS server will decide whether a user can login multiple times with the same login or not. This is a final solution to this issue.
There is a way to work around this - you can add a "Port-Limit" attribute to the Group Replies (from Radius section of SIMPLer). It has the same effect as altering the default profile - though if you edit the hotspot product settings, this reply will be wiped out - and have to be added again. Therefore, the preferred solution on a longer run is to edit the "shared-users" attribute of a default profile on a Mikrotik.
