2011-3Q: SIMPLer: Custom maintenance types

New feature has been added to SIMPLer system that allows Operators to set up their own maintenance types and subtypes. The link to the interface is available on landing page - “Maintenance Types >>” (Fig. 1)

You can define your own types and subtypes by clicking “Add New Type” or “Add Subtype” (Fig. 2). Adding or deleting subtypes require clicking “Update” button (Fig. 3) while adding new type or deleting existing type is done automatically.

Note that the option to delete subtype will become visible only if subtype exist and is selected. Also “Update” button will show up only when change of subtype took place (Fig. 3)

While adding new types you can specify subtypes immediately (Fig. 4)

You can delete maintenance types using “Delete” button. However it is not possible to remove default types, i.e.:

disti

installation

management

network

relocate

remove

repair

sales

support

survey

When you go to the “Maintenance” page you can list maintenance issues listed by type and subtype – if it was previously defined (Fig. 5)

When adding maintenance issue you can set subtype of the issue if it was previously defined (Fig. 6).
