2022-3Q: API - Customer Type Aliases

The SIMPLer API has been enhanced to accept 'customer type' aliases.

This feature should help greatly when integrating with SIMPLer API as it can help take away the burden of re-mapping the customer type from the integrated platform. Once the API aliases are defined under the 'customer types' page in SIMPLer they can immediately be used in the API and will be automatically mapped to it's corresponding type in SIMPLer upon customer record being added or modified.

To make use of this feature:

  1. Navigate to Settings->Customer Types page

  2. Update the 'API Aliases' field with a single 'customer type' alias (or a comma separated list of values) that will be submitted in the addCustomer or modifyCustomer API calls instead of the customer type as it exists in SIMPLer.
