2016-1Q: CRM: Timed Reminders

A new feature has been added to SIMPLer where operators can add reminders to their SIMPLer inbox from:

(a) The "last 5 notes" section of SIMPLer.

(b) The maintenance ticket in SIMPLer.

PART ONE - Last 5 Notes

The original "notes & reminders" feature is described in further detail here, and enhancements are described below:

1) A time field has been added to the notes field to remind users at a certain time.

2) A differentiation has been made between reminders on a certain day (RED Inbox) and reminders at a certain time (flashing arrow above the inbox).

To avail of the feature:

Step One: Please navigate to the "last 5 notes" section of SIMPLer and click "add". (Fig. 1)

Step Two: Enter reminder details in the text box and click "create reminder". Select the user to remind, along with the date & time and click add.

Step Three: At the time specified a flashing arrow will appear over the inbox to indicate that there is a reminder to be actioned, by clicking on the inbox button (Fig. 3) . The flashing red arrow will disappear once the reminder has been opened.

For reminders for a specific date (without a time specified) the usual behaviour will occur where the user will have a RED inbox as shown in Fig. 4.

PART TWO - Maintenance

Step One: To avail of the reminder feature from the maintenance page, from within the maintenance ticket, select the user (or group of users) from the "remind user" field and select a time and date to remind the user or group of users.

Step Two: Click "update" in the ticket to register the change.

Step Three: At the time specified a flashing arrow will appear over the inbox to indicate that there is a reminder to be actioned, by clicking on the inbox button (Fig. 7) . The flashing red arrow will disappear once the reminder has been opened.

For reminders for a specific date (without a time specified) the usual behaviour will occur where the user will have a RED inbox as shown in Fig. 8.

PART THREE - User Grouping

An additional feature has been added to GROUP specific users together so that certain GROUPS of users could be reminded at the same time. To avail of this feature please navigate to the Settings Tab and click "manage user groups" as per Fig. 9.

As per Fig. 10, click "add blank row" to begin adding a new grouping and enter a name and description for that group. Select the users that should be in the group by clicking ctrl and clicking the users in question. Click "update table" to register the changes.

You can also see under your own user account (Settings [user] Account) if you have been added to certain groupings, as per Fig. 11.
